Working with the School
You and your child9s teacher are partners in learning. Communica琀椀ng politely
and openly with school sta昀昀 ensures concerns are addressed early and
successes are shared. A琀琀end parent mee琀椀ngs, read newsle琀琀ers, and ask
ques琀椀ons.
If your child is struggling; emo琀椀onally, socially, or academically; let the school
know. O昀琀en, small adapta琀椀ons can make a big di昀昀erence. Likewise, if
something changes at home (moving houses or a new sibling), teachers can
be琀琀er support your child if they are aware.
Remember: every child adapts at their own
pace. Some run into Year 1 with
excitement. Others need a li琀琀le more 琀椀me.
With your support, reassurance, and trust
in the process, your child will 昀氀ourish. Year
1 is not just about phonics and numbers –
it is about growing con昀椀dence, curiosity,
and a love of learning.
