Maths in Year 1 is hands-on, prac琀椀cal, and full of real-life connec琀椀ons. Children begin

and understanding 琀椀me, money, shapes, and measures.
Bring maths into your everyday life. Count steps, snacks, or coins. Use cooking to discuss
measurement and temperature. Play number games, use dice, and sing coun琀椀ng songs.
Spot pa琀琀erns in 琀椀les or stripes on clothes.
